Magenta Sunshine is a 6-piece original band emerging from the vibrant music scene in Asheville, North Carolina. The band's musical chemistry shines in live performance settings while pulsing a genre-defiant array of energized, elegant, and complex song arrangements. In 2024 the band released and self-produced, Serendipity, an LP in collaboration with New Orleans-based recording engineer, Keenan McRae (Donald Harrison, H.E.R). Magenta Sunshine has performed across the USA at historic venues and concert series in Memphis and Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Denver, Tulsa, Santa Fe, and Chicago. In late 2025 the band announced that they have completed a follow-up record-- completely recorded, mixed, mastered, and produced by Keenan McRae. Singles to be released beginning Dec. 2025, followed by spring and summer tour dates and festival dates across the United States. Described as, "Music that honors the past while leading us into the future." Members of this project have shared stages with Karl Denson (Rolling Stones), Squirrel Nut Zippers, Roger Lewis (Dirty Dozen Brass Band), Father John Misty, Andrew Heller (Toubab Krewe), and Ben Folds amongst others.
